Parable Solutions Merges With Span the Chasm to Offer Comprehensive Suite of Services and Solutions for IT Organizations

ATLANTA, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Parable Solutions Inc., a leading IT solutions provider, and Span the Chasm(SM), a leader in IT consulting and professional services, today announced the completion of their merger. Span the Chasm (StC) will now offer the Parable Solutions (PSI) portfolio of solutions for IT process automation, change and configuration management, and network/applications performance management. These product solutions can now be differentiated with StC's series of advanced services, such as product integration, implementation and support services, or compliance assessments, providing a range of complete solutions for IT organizations from a single vendor.

"This is an exciting development for us and our customers," said Randy Riemersma, president of PSI. "We believe StC's strong combination of leading- edge services, added to our portfolio of market-leading solutions positions us extremely well for future growth and will enable us to deliver the services our customers need. While many traditional resellers recognize the need to offer services around a resale portfolio, many struggle to offer services beyond user training or maintenance contracts. StC's advanced services portfolio will enable us to offer complete solutions to the PSI customer base and provide our vendor partners with a services capability second to none. These services are hard to develop and deliver, so we expect great things as we merge these two businesses under StC."

"As a leading provider of IT process automation solutions, we are delighted to see PSI make this move," said Tim Koubek, vice president of sales at RealOps. "The value-added services that StC brings to the table will help our customers successfully implement RealOps IT Process Automation solutions very quickly and cost-effectively. This keeps our customers happy and helps us grow our business cost-effectively too."

The addition of PSI's product offerings also benefits Span the Chasm by providing a critical mass of customers and thereby growing StC's services revenue base. "The combined company will help us offer our broad range of services to an even broader range of customers. More importantly, we can now bundle concrete solutions to our service offerings for those clients that prefer a one-stop shop," said Rita Wharton, Director of Marketing at StC.
